Outfitting Our New Camper

After renting a camper last month, we decided we liked it enough to get one some day. Little did we know that "some day" would come so quickly! Andy was driving past a RV dealer in Brainerd and saw a pre-owned 14' T@G 2017 model that appeared to meet our criteria (small, light enough to tow with our small SUV, air conditioning) and we decided to buy it.
The new camper- YES, everyone, he does fit in it

We drove up and picked it up Friday night, deciding on the nickname Angus. We spent the weekend cleaning it, setting it up, and shopping to outfit it. We aimed to use things we already owned when we could, but we also wanted to create a few bins with dedicated items that could be very quickly packed, so we decided to buy a number of items (plus a few discretionary but very cute accessories).
Our purchases:

RV store:
  • a big surge protector for between the pedestal supply and our camper
  • a "dog bone" adapter for wall power to our camper
  • a clean water hookup hose and pressure regulator
  • tire chucks
Camping World in Brainerd:
  • Thermacell patio shield mosquito repellent
  • RV-print vinyl table cloth for campground picnic tables
  • small chock pad for camper nose jack
  • a lock for the hitch
Fleet Farm:
  • 2 Yeti coffee mugs
  • grill brush
  • storage bin for kitchen gear
  • small bin for in-camper storage
Online:
  • Meguiar's Marine and RV cleaner wax (recommended by the RV people)
  • Coleman 5' X 7' canopy to shelter the back kitchen (recommended by YouTube video made by experienced owner of the same camper type)
  • Cute RV-print blanket and two throw pillows (from Vogca)
  • Small folding side table for sitting outdoors
  • Small fan for in camper or outside to blow the mosquitoes away
  • Table cloth clips
  • Set of 3 kitchen knives with blade shields
  • Salt and pepper shakers in the shape of little campers- cute
  • RV-print melamine dishes- set of 4
  • Stacking bowls/colander/measure cups and spoons
  • 12V battery tester
  • HDMI to HDMI cord (for hooking laptop up to TV to watch movies)
  • 3"Lucid gel foam mattress topper (we had to trim 2 1/2" off the bottom- our rarely-used electric knife worked great for this)
  • Wheel lock for security
  • Collapsible small nylon trash can
  • Microfiber quick-dry towels
Etsy:
  • Customized kitchen towel with our last name and embroidered camper model
  • 2 camper-print hotpads
  • camper-print skillet handle pad
Spoonflower:
  • RV-print tea towel fabric
  • RV-print small pillow fabric
Thrift store:
  • mismatched silverware, 4 sets
  • stainless steel skillet (I cleaned it up with Barkeeper's Friend- just like new)
  • stainless grilling spatula and tongs
  • tiny cast iron skillet
  • saucepan with lid
Target:
  • pie iron
  • 4 bed pillows, two pillow cases
  • dish drying mat, small dish detergent

Menard's:
  • 50' extension cord
  • storage bin for under sink (perfect size- got lucky)
  • storage bin for grilling equipment
  • 2 gallon gas can for generator we've owned for a few months but never used. We bought it for contingency during extended power outages, but it can be used for boondocking, as well
Home Depot:
  • small foil pans for grilling
  • dowels to make "woof em" roasting sticks, and cut a length to prop open under-bed storage
